When was the Elah-Dufour-Novi Group founded?

Our group was founded in 1982, when, Cavalier Flavio Repetto, brought together four historical brands of the Italian confectionery industry: ELAH, DUFOUR, NOVI and BARATTI & MILANO. Each with its own specialties and typicality, this gave us the opportunity to offer the market a wide and complete range of confectionery products.

Therefore, each brand specializes in certain products, right?

All our brands are steeped in history and tradition; for over a century they have been making their products which are known in Italy and beyond. Each one does it in its own fashion: Elah is known for its historical table creams and puddings, but more than that: today, with its Home Pastry line, it includes other preparations, such as that for cakes and instant creams and mousses. The range is then enhanced by the legendary Toffè and Mou candies.

Dufour is historically renowned in the candy industry: fruit jelly, stuffed, hard, chewy, mint, fizzy, liquorice, sugar-free and more. Just to name some of the most famous: Big Frut, Morabon and Selz Soda.

Novi has been producing chocolate since 1903! It offers a quality product, starting with a careful selection of the chocolate beans in the country of origin and the choice of the best hazelnuts available. The chocolate is prepared in different forms: tablets, bars, pralines and spreads.

Finally, Baratti & Milano produces the excellent and typical Piemontese and Ligurian Apennine pastries, soft Amaretti and Canestrellini.

What is the philosophy of the group?

Our philosophy is to create quality products without losing sight of the link with tradition. We select all raw materials (cocoa beans, hazelnuts, milk, sugars, fruit juices, etc.) at the origin, and when they arrive at our factory in Novi Ligure we subject them to careful checks so that the finished product is always of a high-quality standard.
