How was Roberto founded?

Roberto Industria Alimentare has its roots at the beginning of the 20th century, when the founder Mario Canzian, driven by his passion for bakery products and the experience he had accumulated working in the town’s bakery, decided to buy it and put his experience to practice. Subsequently, he dedicated himself to the development of the business and he began to produce, in addition to bread, new products; notably breadsticks, which over the following years was to become our flagship product, and which has brought us recognition in Italy and throughout the world. Within a few years the first factory was opened with about ten employees. This was the start of the structured company that is today Roberto Food Industry srl.

And Roberto today?

From a small village bakery in the 60s, today we can define ourselves as a modern food company specializing in bakery, offering a wide range of baked goods in addition to breadsticks: snacks of various flavours and shapes, a wide range of bread, bread for sandwiches, toasts, burgers and tortillas. One of our strengths is our packaging: modern, colourful and standing out on the shelf. The philosophy that we follow is to give careful attention to the choice of ingredients, to subject all stages of production to strict control and to promptly capture the demands of our customers to keep pace with their needs and those of the market.

What is the Essenza line?

We are attentive and sensitive to the theme of nutrition, of organic and more generally of well-being. From these premises we created the Essenza line, free of animal fats and without palm oil, designed for a conscious and careful diet, all combined with ingredients such as spelt, Kamut® and whole grains. More and more products are part of the Essence line: sandwich bread (including wholemeal), spelt and Kamut® bread, spelt and gluten-free bread and even bread for toast.
