Truffles are one of the rarest foodstuffs in the world and have long been appreciated through the centuries as one of the most prized ingredient in the culinary arts. These mushroom are so special that they are known as "diamonds of the earth" or "jewels of the kitchen”.
Sabatino Tartufi was founded in 1911 in Umbria when Sabatino Balestra and his wife Giuseppina began hunting for truffles on their land and then developing high quality truffle products for their clients.
Truffles are not just a food but an experience to savour which anyone can experience, that is why we export only the most prized truffles and range of products of the highest quality; products that are the result of the coming together of modern technology and our own traditional recipes.
Today our freshly stored truffles arrive in every type of kitchen, whether it be that of the family or those of the most celebrated Chefs in the world.
Today Sabatino Tartufi has become one of the biggest truffle businesses in the world with production sites in Italy (Umbria) and the United States (Connecticut) as well as with branches in New York, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Miami, Toronto, Tokyo and Hong Kong. We are proud of our leading position in Europe, the United States, and Asia.
Notwithstanding our huge expansion, we have not forgotten our origins. The business remains family-run, in keeping with the same values, traditions and dedication to our clients that we have always had.
