How was Ca' De' Medici born?

The company's history began from a small Osteria with its own production of the Medici family's wine.

At the end of the nineteenth century, Remigio Medici decided to open the "Remigio Medici e Figli" winery with his sons and was successful at the Expo International in Rome in 1911, obtaining the important award of Honourable Mention and the Gold Medal Cross of Merit.

After the Second World War, the Charmat - Martinotti method enabled further developments for the company resulting in the production a contemporary and loved product without ever compromising on quality. For commercial reasons, the "Remigio Medici e Figli" later changed its name, becoming "Ca' De' Medici".

How has your production expanded?

In 2006 "Ca' De' Medici" acquired the "Caprari" winery, known for the quality and excellence of its product, then as now, reserved for demanding customers, from restaurants to wine shops.

In recent years, we have transcended national borders, expanding our commercial relationships in over 30 foreign countries, under the quality label Made in Italy, having found great success especially in the United States, Germany and Belgium. The wines of Ca' De' Medici are appreciated in Italy and all over the world, for their genuine quality differentiating them from more commercial products.
