Wine Piemonte (ITALY)
The grapes of The Roero Arneis DOCG of the Piazzo winery are grown in the commune of Guarene, which overlooks the left side of the river Tanaro,. It is a dry wine, with strong aromatic qualities, full of fresh, herbaceous aromas and with an astringent finish.
Arneis is an ancient vine; it is said that its existence in the Roero can be traced back to the fifteenth century. Following a period of crisis in the first decades of the 20th century, it has recently been rediscovered and today has achieved excellent prestige, both locally and internationally. Today it is capable of standing alongside the renowned reds of the territory.
