Interview
Our history dates back to the beginning of the twentieth century when Antonio Colutta purchased the area of land called "Bandut".
In 1968, his two sons Giansandro and Gianpaolo decided to bottle the first productions of Tocai and Merlot. After that they planted new vineyards and began selling outside of Friuli, achieving good results at a national level. In 1985 Giorgio, Giansandro's son, joined the company and began a profitable marketing work in Italy first and across the border later, thus opening up to new markets, even overseas. at are the characteristics of the territory in which your vineyards are located?
We produce our wines in the vineyards of Buttrio, Manzano and Rosazzo, all included in the renowned "Parco della vite e del vino" (Park of the vine and wine) of the Eastern hills of Friuli. This territory is special and unique within the region! It is in fact the ideal habitat for cultivation: it rises on a rich land of oceanic origin, it is protected from the cold currents of the North by the Julian Prealps and the proximity of the sea, which gives constant ventilation.
We have developed several lines. The Traditional line groups the most classic and well-known DOC wines of the Eastern hills of Friuli. They are soft and fragrant whites and full-bodied and harmonious reds. The Cru line includes some wines produced from native vines or rediscovered vines and that today enjoy a new life, such as Picolit. To close the range we have created the Eco Friendly line, which shows our commitment to respect the environment in all phases of the production cycle.
