Two prestigious DOCs
The two DOCs by Menhir are special and are representative in the best way the territory from which they are produced.
Primitivo di Manduria DOC has got hints of fruits and spices. Its colour is intense red. The tasting sensations are of roundness, warmth and fullness.
Salice Salentino DOC comes mainly from Negroamaro grapes, a native Salento grape. The colour is deep red, the scent is of berries combined with delicate spicy notes.
The sensation in tasting is pleasantly fresh with a persistent finish.

Grape variety: 80% negroamaro, 20% malvasia.
Partial refinement in French barriques for 6 months.
Alcohol content: 13.5°
Characteristics: elegant, intense and fruity; soft taste with almond finish

Primitivo DOC

Primitivo DOC
Grape variety: 100% primitivo.
Aged in oak barrels for 6 months.
Alcohol content: 14°
Characteristics: hints of black cherry, hay and vanilla; warm and persistent.
Pairings: roast and grilled lamb and goat’s meat, wine-flavoured cheeses
